SPM 2020 started on Monday (21 February) with over 401,000 students being the first batch of students to have their SPM delayed and sitting for the exams in the midst of a pandemic.
Just as the exam proceeding was going smoothly, a video went viral on YouTube yesterday (24 February) where a teacher from Selangor allegedly was telling his students a list of questions that were to appear on the Sejarah Paper Two before the students were to sit for the exam at 10am.
In the 24-second long video, the teacher can be seen listing topics that were to come out in the paper later. He also told his students to only focus on certain questions as the other questions might be too hard.
Soon after the video came out, a text message chain also went viral listing the topics almost exactly as the teacher said which includes ‘Penentangan di Perak’, ‘Maritim’ dan ‘Wawasan 2020‘.
On social media, most students were in anger as, if the leak is proven to be true, all the students would be forced to retake the paper. A teacher who wishes to remain anonymous told World of Buzz that unlike previous years where students could keep their question papers, this year, surprisingly, invigilators collected the question papers back.
The Ministry of Education is yet to comment on this issue.
