The post MKN: You Can Travel Freely Between Selangor & KL, But Travel Permit Needed For Putrajaya appeared first on WORLD OF BUZZ.
On 2 March 2021, the Minister of Defence Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced in his press conference that all the states that were under the MCO have been converted to CMCO. However, the minister has also said that interstate travel is still prohibited while interdistrict travel is allowed.
This has, of course, caused some confusion for those living in Selangor and working in Kuala Lumpur as this was not clarified in the minister’s press conference. This additional information was then broadcasted on MKN’s Official Telegram Channel. It says:
“Similar to MCO 1.0, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya is deemed as one zone. Interstate travel between Selangor (CMCO Area) and Kuala Lumpur (CMCO Area) is permitted.”
“However, movement from Selangor or Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya is still not permitted as Putrajaya is considered an RMCO area. This prohibition is to protect Putrajaya from an increase in Covid-19 cases.”
“Be it as it may, people from Selangor or Kuala Lumpur who have business in Putrajaya can still go there provided they have a permit from the police. Those who have a work permit need not worry.”
