Maybank Warns Of New Fake Website Created To Steal Users’ Banking Details

Take note, Maybank users!

Maybank recently announced that they have received reports about a new fake Maybank2u website that was created to steal customers’ banking details.

They said that this website was created by fraudsters to trick customers into giving their banking details, including their usernames and passwords!

This method that fraudsters use is called phishing. A phishing website would typically try to steal your account password or other confidential information by tricking you into believing you’re on a legitimate website.

Maybank advises users to manually key in the official website URL (www.maybank2u.com.my) whenever they access their accounts.

Remember, Maybank will never send an SMS, Email or WhatsApp message with links requesting you to log in or update your Maybank2u account.

However, in the unfortunate event that you accidentally reveal your Maybank2u login details on scam websites, you can contact 03-5891 4744 for help.

Online scams are getting more common nowadays, so please be extra careful when keying in your account details online.
