Celebrity entrepreneur Neelofa and her husband PU Riz have pleaded not guilty to violating standard operating procedures (SOP) during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
According to Astro Awani, the couple were charged at the Seremban Magistrate’s Court this morning (20 May).
On 2 May, the couple were criticised for violating the interstate travel ban when Neelofa uploaded photos and videos at a carpet shop in Nilai 3, Negeri Sembilan during the CMCO.
Neelofa faces one charge for failing to register with the MySejahtera app or manually at the premises in Nilai, while her husband faces two charges, namely, failing to register with the MySejahtera app or manually and for failing to wear a face mask in a public place.
Neelofa was granted bail of RM5,000 even though the prosecution requested bail of RM20,000 while PU Riz was granted bail of RM10,000.
Meanwhile, the re-mention of the case has been set for 4 June.
