A man from Seremban locked his family in their house after experiencing emotional stress from losing his job due to the Movement Control Order (MCO).
According to Astro Awani, the incident happened at his home in Taman Nusa Intan, Seremban on Monday (21 June) where the man’s wife and two children were locked in.

Senawang Fire Station Operations Officer, Zinurin Sarip said his department received an emergency call at about 8.51pm.
“The man locked the fence, grill and back door of his house from the inside due to the stress of not having a job as a result of the MCO,” he said.
“We initially tried to persuade the man but after 15 minutes he still did not want to give up and the firefighters had to pry open the gate and grill of the house.”
He added that the firefighters had to cut the lock on the door as the man claimed that he did not know where he put the key.
It was reported that the man’s wife had complained to her neighbour about the issue before her husband began suffering even more pressure. She said her brother had to come from Mambau to persuade her husband.
“The woman and her children, a 1-year-old and a four-month-old did not suffer any injuries,” Zainurin said.
“They were sent to the nearest neighbour’s house and we were also informed that all the victims had not eaten since morning.”
He added that the man has since been handed over to the police for further action.
