This is probably a tactic we should all employ to get bigger chicken pieces…
Online food delivery has become a staple in our day to day lives especially during this lockdown. When we’re ordering deliveries, we’re expected to mention if we have any special requests or… if we want a bigger piece of chicken. Although there’s a designated space for you to mention your order preferences, this Facebook user definitely went the extra mile for his fried chicken.
Darryl Ezreen ordered KFC’s three-piece signature combo and he decided that he wanted all thigh pieces. Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Darryl said he has ordered KFC online a couple of times and requested thighs using multiple tactics but to no avail. Realising all his previous tactics have failed, he then decided to compose a romantic poem for the staff.
“If KFC has a million followers, I’m one of them. If KFC has ten fans, I’m one of them. If KFC only has one fan, it’s me. If KFC has no fans, it means I’m no longer in this world.
If the world is against KFC, I’m against the world. I would love KFC till my very last breath. Please give me thigh parts.”
Lo and behold, the KFC staff fell in love with his poem and they provided him with ALL THREE thigh pieces! Darryl added that he almost cried when he opened the box and saw the pieces as he never expected the tactic to work. Giving credit where it’s due, Darry said the poem was inspired by his friend, Bobby, who used a similar poem for their virtual football manager.
He even said that due to the pandemic, it has been difficult to order KFC at your preferred outlets thus you can’t ask for your favourite parts which proved to be a challenge when placing an order online. “I learned that life is all about love. You don’t have to go to war to get what you want, that’s not the way. Love. That is the way,” he said.
Darryl also gave a shoutout to the KFC Malaysia staff and all their employees for doing the best they can to accommodate their customer’s requests, especially during this pandemic. As a final note, he dedicated another poem to KFC to show his gratefully and even signed it as KFC Thigh Lover Department!
“Sekiranya KFC mempunyai jutaan peminat, saya adalah salah seorang dari mereka. Jika KFC mempunyai sepuluh peminat, saya adalah salah seorang daripada mereka. Jika KFC hanya mempunyai satu peminat dan itu adalah saya. Jika KFC tidak mempunyai peminat, itu bermakna saya tidak lagi berada di bumi. Jika dunia menentang KFC, saya menentang dunia. saya suka KFC sehingga nafas terakhir saya.
No matter what chicken parts you give to me, KFC will always have a special place in my heart. (Just kidding. Thighs only please!) Terima kasih KFC!”
Well, after all this, we’ve definitely got a hankering for KFC and don’t be surprised if KFC outlets all over get an overwhelming number of poems declaring their love for the thigh part!
