“My CGPA 3.5” Fresh Grad Applies For Senior Role, Responds Rudely When Rejected

This post first appeared on WORLD OF BUZZ.

The job-searching process can be tough but…there’s no need to be rude if you don’t get the role you signed up for. After all, beggars can’t be choosers.

The pandemic definitely has not been easy for aspiring fresh graduates and job seekers with most companies more focused on downsizing to save themselves from sinking. Nevertheless, the whole job search process is not easy with having to present the best version of yourself and confidently lying through your teeth that you work well under pressure when all you really do is cry.

Despite all this pressure, we can definitely say this job seeker was perhaps a little too over-confident in his process of applying for a job. In an interaction that was posted in the Facebook group, Boom Go Employee, a fresh graduate was rejected for a senior role in a company and let’s just say, the applicant did NOT take it well.

Fresh grad applied for a role requiring 8 years experience

The employer informed the applicant politely that he will not be selected for the Senior Marketing Manager role due to a lack of working experience. The applicant responded curtly with a “Y?” but the employer still chose to respond saying that they’re looking for someone with at least eight years of experience instead of a fresh graduate.

“My CGPA 3.5”

Despite the applicant flexing his CGPA, the employer apologised and the applicant finally ended the conversation with a rude reply. He called the employer, “Sohai” which translates to “stupid”. The post went viral garnering almost 2,000 shares with Facebook users calling out the applicant for his entitlement and saying that his 3.5CGPA won’t take him far with that kind of attitude.
