Baker Receives Sweet Reply From Deliveryman After Leaving Note To Handle Parcel With Care

Recently, a Malaysian bakery, Hafu Bakery took to their business page on Facebook to share a hilarious incident that took place when they were delivering cookies to a customer.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, the owner of Hafu Bakery, Shu Mei, explained that she and her husband, Win Keen, have been attempting to improve their cookie packaging as there have been many incidents in the past where customers complained that the cookies arrived in broken pieces.

This is because Shu Mei and Win Keen would depend on a courier service to deliver their yummy cookies, which we all would know by now that it is highly possible for parcels to easily get damaged.

First attempt of improving packaging: cookies lay flat in a container with lots of bubble wrap

Shu Mei and her husband started experimenting with different kinds of cellophane tapes, bubble wraps and even purchased small paper cups to hold the cookies into place rather than just using flat-lay containers. They even stuck ‘Fragile’ stickers on the boxes before but that wouldn’t stop the parcel from being mishandled.

In the end, they realised that the only thing that would make a huge difference is for the delivery person to handle the parcels with care. Hence, they came up with the idea of writing a note on the boxes when posting it out, hoping it would get the delivery guy’s attention.

On the box, they wrote:

“From flour, I turned into cookies. Don’t make me turn back into flour. Love you Abang!”

And it worked like a charm! 

But they never expected the delivery guy to reply to their note!

The customer who received the cookies sent a picture to Shu Mei, notifying her that the delivery guy commented back to their note.

The delivery guy wrote at the side of the box:

“Comment Back: Noted Sayang. I love you too. #Abang JNT”.

His response made both Shu Mei and her husband’s day! They shared the story on their Facebook page, which garnered over 1,200 shares and 2,100 likes!

This made them realize that their method of leaving a note ended up working well as the cookies arrived at the customer’s place in perfect condition!

Maybe we should give this method a try when sending out fragile items!
