It is sad to see images of how Malaysians behave against people who differ from them.
Taking to Facebook, Affan Zahari shared an ugly occurrence of a Malaysian-African couple getting suggestive comments from Malaysians, mostly men, who hypothesized why the Malaysian influencer chose an African as her husband.
“I followed Fila Amir’s YouTube channel for almost a month now, and I find her sharing of what took place at her husband’s village interests me.”
“We rarely see this side of African life daily and her husband is not bad either.”
“He is an entrepreneur who has successfully opened religious schools in his village and will build water pumps, thanks to the donation from Malaysians.”
Despite all the positivities he sees from the power couple, it was Malaysians commenting on the video that grinds his gears.
“I don’t understand why Malaysian men succumb to suggestive slurs in the comments’ section.”
“They are not porn stars where people watch and pass judgement on them. Instead of focusing on what’s good, they instead comment matters on why Fila is not covering up, or the couple’s sex life.”
Here’s how Malaysians behaved and commented on a post that was focused on the life they are currently living in Africa.
Seriously, eww!
Clearly perturbed, he mentions how Malaysian men commenting on the post reflect on why people are becoming anti-muslims based on their actions.
“I urge Malaysians who are against these kinds of people to exemplify what being a devout Muslim is all about. We are indeed better than this!”
Look people, we are better than this. Let’s stop this behaviour and try to be a little more responsible with what we say online!
