Budget 2022: Chinese, Indian & Orang Asli Communities To Receive Financial Assistance

The Ministry of Finance has announced the initiatives that will encompass Budget 2022.

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz revealed the initiatives during Parliament, where he shared that the theme for Budget 2022 will be ‘Keluarga Malaysia, Makmur Sejahtera’.

Along with these initiatives are the assistances that are focused towards the Chinese, Indian and Orang Asli communities, where the assistance will be used to repairs and progress of the respective communities and their infrastructures.

The aids include:

  • A RM200 million assistance package has been prepared for the Chinese community.
  • A RM145 million assistance package has been prepared for the Indian community.
  • A RM274 million assistance package has been prepared for the Orang Asli community.

Additionally, RM120 million has been prepared for the maintenance and repair works of 1,800 Chinese vernacular and Tamil vernacular schools.

These assistances will go towards the betterment of the respective communities.
