MOH To Clamp Down On Anti-Vaccine Group Spreading Fake News

A number of Malaysians saying no to vaccines, or known as the anti-vaccine group, is not news to most of us who are preparing for life to return to normal.

The existence of anti-vaxxers is a huge challenge for the National Covid Immunisation Programme as they are the ones responsible for spreading unsubstantiated, false and misleading information about the Covid-19 vaccines, and the government has had enough.

Taking to Twitter, here is what Minister of Health Khairy Jamaluddin in response to a tweet from Dr Kin Sulong.

“Am I the only one who feels that the anti-vaccine group is immune to diseases?”

“They spread fake news, but no action is taken. When will this stop @Khairykj?”

In his response, Khairy writes, “@KKMPutrajaya have reported to the authorities.”

“We hope that further action will be underway to stop this group from spreading false news that threatens the public’s well-being and is a nuisance.”

Netizens commenting on the Tweet shared that it was hilarious for Khairy to label the anti-vaccine group as annoying.
