The Selangor government is currently working on a project known as Rumah Idaman which will offer affordable houses to the people at a price as low as RM250,000 starting next month. The affordable price is only for first-time buyers and the projects are located at these strategic locations in Selangor.
- Shah Alam
- Saujana Putra
- Puchong
- Cyber South
- Bandar Puncak Alam
According to BFM News, the 1,000 square feet units will come with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
This means, with a price of RM250,000, the buyers will get the following,
- 2 parking
- A TV with cabinet
- A fridge
- 3 air-conditioned rooms
- Water heaters in each bathroom
Selangor’s Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said that the projects are launched specially for the people who stay and work in Selangor, as well as buying houses for the first time, as reported by Berita Harian.
“The state government has identified the ways to strengthen the economy during this pandemic while giving an opportunity to the people in Selangor to own their houses,” he said.
He also assured that regardless of the location of Rumah Idaman, the state government will ensure that the houses are easily accessible through highways, as well as being near to schools, hospitals, public transportation, and universities.
