1 Bedroom & 1 Bathroom ‘Shoebox’ House In London Costs RM2.2 Million To Own, Netizens Baffled

The cost of owning a house in developed cities is never cheap. However, at certain locations, the price of properties are quite exorbitant and frankly, does not make sense.

A certain piece of property in Chelsea, an area in the UK has caught the attention of netizens around the world with its expensive price tag.

This little studio is said to be 243.8 square feet big and has one room and one bathroom. Here is the floor plan for you to visualise how it will look like.

As you can see, when one enters through the front door, they will be in the only room available in the house and there is a small bathroom in the back. Since there is only one room, the space will need to function as a kitchen, living room and bedroom all in one.

The property with no garden costs 395,000 British Pounds (RM2,214,373) to own. It seems like to make up for the lack of a garden, the owner had drawn a colourful mural with flowers to brighten up the space.

This piece of property is located in Chelsea, West London. According to Eco Movers, Chelsea is the most desirable place for one to live in Central London and it is a very expensive place to live in.

Well, this does explain the price tag but would you pay that amount of money for a property the size of a shoebox? Or would you rather live in a bigger, cheaper home that is located further away from the city centre? Let us know in the comments.
