The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a significant weather forecast, where certain areas will experience continuous rain following the monsoon for the period from 27 December to 1 January. MetMalaysia in a brief statement, said at the same time there is a low-pressure weather system detected occurring in the South China Sea. The statement elaborated that,
“This situation has the potential to cause continuous rain in eastern Sabah on 27 to 30 December and western Sarawak on 29 to 31 December. While in Johor , Pahang , Terengganu and Kelantan on December 30, 2021 until January 1, 2022.”

In addition, strong winds and rough seas are predicted to occur in the waters of the South China Sea, including in the waters of the East Coast of the Peninsula from December 26 to January 1, 2022. If you live in and around these areas, it is best to get yourself prepared just in case the situation gets really bad.
