Throwing rocks at trains has long been a problem in countries including the United States and New Zealand, where passengers and train crews have been injured by large rocks thrown through windows.
So, it is not a shocker that it is happening in Malaysia too.
Taking to TikTok, netizen @redzuanmanaf87, a train conductor, answered the question “Why are train windows and doors damaged?”.
Identifying himself as Pak Su, he begins his rant asking the help of the public to stop vandalising trains.
“Pak Su is asking for your help to advise your children and your neighbours to stop throwing stones at Pak Su’s train.”
“We experience this (stone throwing) everyday.”
“Please. Have pity for the people riding the train. Pity all of us.”
“These trains do not belong to me, but a service that belongs to all of us.”
Adding that the windows now need to be replaced, netizens commenting on the video urged members of the public to be more mindful of their actions.
Garnering more that 15k likes, let’s hope that the message gets across.
