As of now, the infectivity rate has been fluctuating although daily cases has remained just above the 1,000 mark in the past few weeks. The R-naught value as of 28 March is at 0.94, meaning that one infected person is able to spread the disease to 0.94 other people.
We are still not out of the woods yet and it is definitely not the time to let our guard down.
“Together we need to take all precautionary measures to reduce the daily cases. We certainly can learn from our past experience on how to live side by side with Covid-1,” Dr Noor Hisham said on 28 March.
“A gentle & constant reminder to all. Together we can break the chain of Covid-19 transmission in our country.”
