It sucks whenever we lose our wallets, especially our Identity Card (IC). It is a long process of having to report it missing and another long process of attempting to get a new one done.
A netizen took to his Facebook page to seek the owner of an IC he found at a Mamak restaurant in Penang.
Although his intentions were honourable, this netizen’s plan backfired.
In his post, he shared a picture of the Malaysian Identity card (IC) but censored ALL the details, making it impossible for anyone to identify whose IC it is.
The only thing visible was the common wording of ‘KAD PENGENALAN MALAYSIA’, MyKad, Malaysia flag and the smart chip. The rest of the personal information such as the name, address, photo and IC number was entirely censored.
Only Superman with his x-ray vision would have the ability to see through the censoring.
Of course, the post garnered over 2,700 shares and 2,400 likes, all of which netizens had a blast laughing and making memes.
Although the post is hilarious, we got to give the guy credit for his honourable intentions and for attempting to return the IC to the rightful owner.
But, maybe next time, it would be best to hand over the lost IC to the nearest police station.
