Health Director-General, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah’s daily update today showed that Malaysia has reached another record high, with new, positive cases hitting 8,290 for today (28 May), totalling overall cases to 549,514.

He also shared the breakdown of today’s cases based on states, with the highest being in Selangor:

Selangor – 2,052 (179,502)
Sabah – 308 (61,582)
Johor – 762 (56,993)
Kuala Lumpur – 830 (56,862)
Sarawak – 698 (45,436)
Pulau Pinang – 421 (27,705)
Kelantan – 851 (25,574)
Negeri Sembilan – 520 (24,686)
Perak – 405 (19,895)
Kedah – 544 (17,555)
Melaka – 380 (11,192)
Pahang – 254 (8,903)
Terengganu – 207 (8,164)
WP Labuan – 6 (3,170)
WP Putrajaya – 44 (1,822)
Perlis – 8 (473)
