A man in Klang attempted to lock up his wife in their apartment at Bandar Bukit Tinggi, after becoming infuriated with her for not preparing him breakfast.
According to a report by Sinar Harian, South Klang district police chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli said the incident took place at around 7.15 am, on Monday (14 June). The 27-year-old victim was allegedly pushed on the head and body by her husband until she fell.

The victim was then locked inside the house and her mobile phone was also confiscated by the 28-year-old suspect to prevent his wife from contacting other people. “However, the victim managed to ask the neighbour who lived opposite their home to contact the police,” Shamsul Amar added.
A team of police officers were dispatched to the location where they managed to set the wife free and she was then taken to the police station to lodge a report. Authorities managed to apprehend the suspect at the same location later that day and he admitted to being involved in the case, Shamsul Amar told Sinar Harian.
It was discovered that the 28-year-old suspect has a history of a criminal record. District police chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli said further investigations will continue after the remand application in the Klang Court today (Tuesday).
The case is currently being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code and Section 18A of the Domestic Violence Act 1994.
