Cat lovers should make their way to Dungun, Terengganu, when the ban on interstate travel is lifted of course, and visit the Taman Kucing Dungun to have a day out in the sun with these fur babies.
Opened by the Dungun Municipal Council, the sanctuary has now over 150 tenants and is equipped with amenities such as isolation cages to house stray cats according to their health.
With regular checkups carried out by staff at the shelter, the kitties’ new home is a positive outlook on how municipal councils can care for strays and ensure that we care for them for the rest of their lives.
The initiative to home strays in the Dungun district began in 2012, with the Terengganu Veterinary Department taking over medication and health check-up duties.
Well, isn’t that nice?
Currently, entry to the sanctuary is free, but the centre is open to donations of any kind to help them care for the stray cats housed there.
