Should Students Be Allowed To Bring Mobile Phones To School? MOE Wants To Hear Your Thoughts

From keypads to touch screens, our phones have changed drastically over time. Along with that, our needs have evolved as well as we communicate mainly through WhatsApp now whereby 5 minutes without it can result in 100 or more unread messages.

On 23 November, the Ministry of Education shared on their Facebook page to ask the public what they thought about allowing students to bring phones to school.

The ministry shared that this survey aims to get responses from multiple parties such as parents, teachers, students and the general public on students bringing and using mobile phones in school. They elaborated and said that the findings of this survey will be used as a basis for planning and decision making on this topic.

Hence, if you would like to give a response to this survey, you can do so here or you can scan the following QR code. It will be available starting 23 November till 7 December.

The survey is simple enough where the first part is concerning the demographics of the respondents with the second and third parts asking if you agree to students bringing mobile phones to school.

If the ministry allows the students to bring their mobile phones to school, we hope that they will not misuse them!
